Official description

Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) is a state enterprise under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Finance. Its objectives are to provide financial assistance in order to promote agriculture as an occupation for farmers and farmer institutions, to help farmers and farmer institutions increase their productivity and incomes and to offer deposit services to farmers throughout the country similar to those offered by commercial banks.

On April 22, 2013, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the opening ceremony of Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives' Bang Khen Headquarters.

BAAC new premises has an area of 16 Rais consisting of four main buildings: 24-storey tower of office spaces, 8 story Podium , 6 story computer center and a parking lot. The buildings serve as central links of operations with branches throughout the country. The structure of the buildings both outside and inside are designed to symbols reflecting knowledge and the driving spirit of agricultural development of the country from the past to present time and the way moving forward in the future. These include BAAC museum, Library, Hall of Fame & archives, which collected stories of agricultural development, technical knowledge, OTOP technology, knowledge of agricultural credit, important events, key figures of agricultural development etc.
