SET closes up 3.15 to 1,706.52

The Stock Exchange of Thailand main index rose 0.18%, or 3.15 points, to 1,706.52 on Friday.

Total trading value was 55.8 billion baht, with 10.7 million shares changed hands.

SET50 index advanced 0.24%, or 2.60 points, to 1,100.68 in trade worth 28 billion baht. 

But MAI dropped 0.68%, or 3.71 points, to 538.86 in transactions worth 2.3 billion baht.

Institutional investors were net buyers of 2.3 billion baht, followed by brokers (782 million baht). Individual investors sold 2.3 billion baht, followed by foreigners (839.9 million baht).

Year-to-date, institutional investors were net buyers of 83.2 billion baht, followed by brokers (11.1 billion). Individual investors sold 70 billion baht, followed by foreigners (24.3 billion baht). 

Shares of Humanica Plc, a human-resources software developer, made an impressive debut on the SET on Friday under the ticker symbol "HUMAN". The stock surged 101.2% to 8.05 baht from its initial public offering price of four baht each.

The company has market capitalisation at its IPO of 2.72 billion baht. 

SET senior executive vice-president Santi Kiranand said that HUMAN listed on SET in the Technology industry group, Information & Communication Technology Services sector. HUMAN provides Humatrix and ESSpace software, which manages human-resource works including and payroll outsourcing and system implementation.

HUMAN has recently started to expand its customer base into other countries such as Singapore, Malaysia. It also provides financial solutions -- enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation and accounting and finance outsourcing.

HUMAN has a paid-up registered capital of 340 million baht, consisting of 500 million existing common shares and 180 million newly issued shares, with a par value of 0.50 baht each.

It offered 153 million newly issued shares to the public via IPO, and 27 million shares to directors, executives and employees of HUMAN and subsidiaries at four baht each during from Nov 30 to Dec 4, raising 720 million. Finansia Syrus Securities Plc is the financial adviser and underwriter.

HUMAN's three major shareholders after IPO are the Dentham Family (42.6%), Hudson Asia Holding Pte Ltd (17.9%) and Phatiya Thankarn (2.45%).

The IPO price was equivalent to the price-to-earnings ratio (P/E ratio) of 28.57 times calculated by using the company's net profit in the past four quarters (Oct 1, 2016 to Sept 30, 2017), divided by fully diluted shares, representing earnings per share of 0.14 baht.

 HUMAN's dividend policy is to pay no less than 50% of net profit from the company's separate financial statements after taxes and reserves.
