Renowned for its blend of modernity and traditional charm spanning generations, Hong Kong is a diverse and vibrant city that cherishes its business-friendly environment and cosmopolitan lifestyle. To showcase its new attractions, developments and opportunities in the years ahead, Hong Kong has launched an "Immersive Hong Kong" roving exhibition, which has now come to Bangkok. The exhibition is on at Discovery Plaza of Siam Discovery from October 20 to 29, 2023.
In celebration of the exciting times ahead, "Immersive Hong Kong @ Bangkok" captivates audiences by providing a unique experience of this destination through interactive art technology and naked-eye 3D displays. It features four themed zones, namely "Financial Bridgehead", "I&T Brain Bank", "Blossoming Creativity" and "Diversity and Greenery".
The colourful displays at the photo corner showcase illustrations by Hong Kong artist Messy Desk (Jane Lee), an award-winning mural painting artist whose works have received recognition worldwide.
Avoiding spoiler alerts, visitors can look forward to a stunning visual journey that immerses them in art projections and takes them on an inspiring virtual tour of Hong Kong. The "Financial Bridgehead" zone presents a prosperous and glorious vision of Hong Kong's economic strength in golden splendour, while the "I&T Brain Bank" zone, in shades of different colours, depicts the "Smart City" concept, highlighting smart infrastructures and experiences. "Blossoming Creativity" presents East-meets-West cultural performances brought to life through motion technology and dynamic lighting, while "Diversity and Greenery" offers a contrast between the bustling city and the serenity of the countryside, complete with migratory waterbirds at famous nature reserves.
Potential investors are also presented with facts, figures, and experiences shared by successful ASEAN enterprises and talents based in Hong Kong, displayed at the interactive information panels.
In addition to these visual delights, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra delivered a trombone quartet performance, bringing the uplifting tones of Hong Kong to the audience on October 20, 2023. To conclude the event on October 29, 2023, SENZA A Cappella will add a modern vibe to Bangkok with a pop music performance.
Exhibition visitors can also participate in an interactive game, "Snap a Cool Shot @Immersive Hong Kong", by following Brand Hong Kong's Instagram page, taking a photo at the venue, and uploading it to their own Instagram account with the hashtag #ImmersiveHK_BKK. The top 300 winners will each receive an economy class round-trip air ticket from Bangkok to Hong Kong. The tickets are sponsored by Hong Kong International Airport's "World of Winners" Tickets Giveaway Campaign.
Organised by the Information Services Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, "Immersive Hong Kong @ Bangkok" is the second leg of the roving exhibition in ASEAN, following its successful debut in Jakarta, Indonesia in July this year.
