Starbucks Coffee Thailand has announced the opening of its flagship store in Siam Square.

The event marks the company's 20th anniversary in Thailand and a renewed focus on teenagers looking for special experiences.

"Siam Square attracts a wide and diverse group of people, and our flagship store is in a prime location to offer our experiences to this wide and diverse audience," said Murray Darling, managing director of Starbucks Coffee Thailand. "We believe it will answer the needs of all of our customers."

The three-level, 430-square-metre store at Siam Square One is Starbucks' 321st store nationwide. The store's interior is inspired by fluid textures, Mr Darling said.

The entrance to the store's first floor connects to Siam skytrain station.

The second floor houses the Starbucks Reserve Experience Bar, which lets customers taste high-end and rare coffee beans from around the world.

In this section, customers can choose from different brewing methods, including pour over, which produces a "clean cup of coffee that allows subtle notes to come out"; siphon, a theatrical method that uses vapour pressure and vacuum force to extract coffee flavour; chemex, a hybrid brewing method that yields a sweeter cup; and coffee press, which retains the oils of the coffee and results in a more full-bodied cup.

The Siam Square store will also partner with dessert maker After You to offer exclusive items.
