Amid the abundance of domestic and international residential property agents and brokers in Thailand, List Sotheby’s International Realty (Thailand) is soaring to become one of the country’s and the region’s leading luxury residential service providers backed by a global network and powerful digital marketing capabilities.

Launched in October 2018, List Sotheby’s International Realty (Thailand) is the latest addition to the 15 branches of List Sotheby’s International Realty, a 2009 partnership of Sotheby’s International Realty and List Group, Japan.

Sotheby’s was first established in 1744 as Sotheby’s Auction House in London before expanding to New York. Today its heritage stretches back over 270 years and it has three major auction houses in London, New York, and Hong Kong.

In 1976, Sotheby’s International Realty was founded with the same commitment to exceptional service. In 2004, Sotheby’s entered into a long-term strategic alliance with Realogy Holdings Corp., a global leader in real estate franchising and provider of real estate brokerage, relocation and settlement services. The agreement provides for the licensing of the Sotheby’s International Realty name and the development of a full franchise system by Realogy’s subsidiary and Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC.

On the other hand, List Group was established in Yokohama, Japan in 1991 by Hisashi Kitami and quickly became a major player in the Japanese real estate market for over 20 years. The List Group comprises of five business services, including: List Sotheby’s International Realty, established in 2009; List Development, established in 1991  for a comprehensive, high-quality residence planning and development; List Asset Management, established in 2008 as a real estate investment advisory business and financial instruments business; List Construction, established in 1995 for the management of commercial facilities, buildings and condominiums, and; List Homes, established in 2017 for the management of housing development.

As such, List Sotheby's International Realty enjoys access to Sotheby’s International Realty network of over 22,500 affiliated independent sales associates in over 990 offices in 72 countries worldwide. In the US alone, there are over 150 companies with 637 offices in 40 states.

The exclusive agent of the List Sotheby’s International Realty platform aims to provide high level real estate services to Thai and foreign customers alike. Services comprise domestic resales, leasing, project sales & marketing management, developer consultancy, investment & land service, and international agency.

“We basically trade new and resale residential properties. With new homes, we directly contact the developers. We also do leasing where we provide rental services in the high-demand Japanese and western expat markets in Thailand, especially those who have families living with them here. These range diplomats to CEOs. We also offer sales & marketing management consultancy and services, all the way up from studying the availability of land plots with development potential. Moreover, we can manage the clients’ financial part of their projects, such as setting selling prices and estimating construction costs. We also offer an investment service for trading large property lots such as hotels, among others,” explained Shanya Sae-Tia, Chief Operating Officer (COO), List Sotheby’s International Realty (Thailand).

The team comprises specialised and experienced experts in real estate. Hisashi Kitami, CEO & President, has extensive knowledge of the Japanese real estate market. While the COO herself has over 23 years in the business, giving her deep insight, comprehensive knowledge, and full command of key techniques. She has also worked closely with several renowned developers in Thailand.

As the luxury residential brokerage now develops new branches in Vietnam and Indonesia. Shanya Sae-Tia revealed that: “We have a lot of potential customers in Phuket, Thailand, as well, and are looking to open an office there in 2020. Offices in Pattaya and/or Chiang Mai are also on the horizon.”
