Centara Hotels & Resorts has begun construction of its second Cosi hotel, this time in North Pattaya.

The development is expected to open its doors by 2019. The announcement comes less than two months after the hotel group inaugurated its first Cosi-branded hotel on Koh Samui.

Cosi Pattaya Naklua Beach will boast 282 rooms, all with smart TVs, free WiFi and USB ports.

The development is located a short walk from the beach and a five-minute drive from Central Festival Pattaya.

The hotel will also offer a swimming pool, laundromat, 24-hour social hangout hub and digital playspace.

The hub includes a cafe where guests can enjoy free food and drinks using the daily credits they receive throughout their stay.

A company spokesman said development of the Cosi brand is an integral part of Centara's five-year expansion plan.

Within that time frame, Centara expects to add close to 40 Cosi hotels to its portfolio, all situated in resort and city locations in Thailand and Asia.

The company aims to use the brand to serve the "modern, connected" lifestyle of a growing travel market segment at affordable prices.
