PTS Holdings Group, the operator of Tiffany's Show Pattaya, one of the world's best-known transgender cabaret shows, plans to spend 1 billion baht to open a new cabaret in Phuket in the next three years.

Chief executive Alisa Phanthusak said the group has established a new subsidiary, Tiffany World Entertainment Co, to operate the new Tiffany's Show on 14 rai at Patong Beach, Phuket.

Tiffany's Show Phuket is expected to kick off construction by the end of next year and be completed in the next three years.

"The company is keen to open Tiffany's Show Phuket because there are more than 10 million foreign tourist visiting Phuket each year," Mrs Alisa said. "This offers a good opportunity for the company to attract more European tourists."

She said the new entertainment complex in Phuket will be twice the size of the original one in Pattaya, with 20% more seats.

Tiffany's Show Phuket will also be built under a different concept.

Mrs Alisa said the group is spending 200 million baht to overhaul the facilities, including the light show and sound system, at Tiffany's Show Pattaya, which has been running for 43 years.

An additional 300 million baht will be spent on Thai Marche, a food market with 400 seats spanning 4,631 square metres. That venue will be housed in a new four-storey building next door to Tiffany's Show Pattaya.

Mrs Alisa said she wants Thai Marche to be the most integrated venue featuring Thai street food in Pattaya.

She said the competition in Pattaya is fierce because of myriad entertainment choices now available, including water parks, Art In Paradise, Tiger Park Pattaya, Kaan Show at D'Luck Cinematic Theatre and Frost Magical Ice of Siam.

"The overhaul of Tiffany's Show Pattaya will make it is more than just an entertainment show, but a Pattaya landmark that tourists must visit," Mrs Alisa said.

PTS Group operates Woodland Hotel & Resort, a four-star hotel in Pattaya with an occupancy rate of 80%.

The company also handles Woodland Suites, providing long-stay accommodation for foreign workers at industrial estates in Rayong.

For entertainment, the group runs Tiffany's Show and Pattaya Sport Bazaar, while it also has the foods brands Le Baguette and La Ferme Pattaya.

Some 80% of Tiffany customers are from Asia, mainly China.
