Try and try again

This photo was taken at Khao Laem Ya National Park in Rayong. The constant waves made it hard for me to zero in on the jellyfish. The lens was also fogging up under water. I had to bring the camera up to the surface every minute or so to wipe it. I had to repeat this routine many times before I was able to take a good snap. — Thanarak Khunton

‘Ai Nga Diew’

I tagged along with rangers from Kaeng Krachan National Park in Prachuap Khiri Khan as they inspected areas where wild elephants had come out of the forest to raid the crops of local farmers. Out of nowhere this elephant, known to rangers as ‘Ai Nga Diew’ (the Single-Tusked One), emerged and ran alongside our pickup truck. — Pornprom Satrabhaya

We decided to use a drone after a blanket of smoke from a rubbish dump fire in Samut Prakan began to hover over Bangkok. It took almost an hour to gain access to the site, with less than a metre of visibility. We were told that another drone had already crashed there, but confidence and experience helped us get the job done. — Sithikorn Wongwudthianun
