Two Americans have been arrested for their alleged vandalism spree in Bangkok's Samphanthawong district on May 29.

Cote Turnbeaugh, 28, and Louise Gollan, 24, were taken into custody by tourist police in Pattaya on Wednesday night.

Complaints were filed by residents of Samphanthawong district, who accused the duo of vandalising cars and walls with spray paints in the neighbourhood.

Mr Turnbeaugh admitted he had defaced private properties while drunk. He said a third vandal, also a foreign national, had also joined them but the person had already left the country.

The duo will be charged with causing damage to private assets. They are liable to face three years in jail and a maximum fine of 6,000 baht. Their visas will also be revoked and they will be blacklisted by immigration.
