Pattaya police raided a karaoke bar on Monday and arrested 27 customers and a staff member.

The 1am raid was on the karaoke bar in Soi Pattaya Tai 4 in Bang Lamung district.

Police were acting on information the bar was in violation of Covid-19 restrictions.

The bar was open later than legal hours and patrons were being served alcoholic drinks.

Twenty-seven customers and one bar staff were arrested.

No drugs were found.

Pattaya has had few tourists since the Covid-19 pandemic began. It is due to reopen to tourists from Nov 1.
