Official description

St. Stephen’s International School, Khao Yai offers an international education in an idyllic natural setting, close to Khao Yai National Park.  Academic expectations at St. Stephen’s are high.  Students work towards internationally recognised Cambridge International Examination qualifications.  With small classes and individualised learning plans, we aim to bring out the best in all our students.  Learning extends far beyond the classroom.  Students are encouraged to develop wide ranging skills and talents through participation in the extra-curricular programme.  St. Stephen’s emphasises learning for life and acquiring skills which will prepare all students for a rapidly changing world.  We encourage all students, in their studies, personal life and interactions, to strive for excellence.  Our aim is to provide a safe, happy school where all students can benefit from an environment which draws from the best of both Western and Eastern cultures.  Students learn to value and respect the traditions of both East and West.

Our mission

Our mission is “Leadership in the making to create tomorrow’s leaders today” by offering a broad, balanced and challenging curriculum in the English language to students of all nationalities from 2-18 years old, following the International Primary Curriculum, UK National Curriculum, and Cambridge IGCSEs and A Levels.

All subjects, with the exception of Thai and Mandarin, are taught using English as the language of communication.  Students are taught a wide range of subjects using the English National Curriculum Programmes of Study which are adapted to suit the needs of Thai and international students.  Using teachers who are native speakers of English, and specialists in their own curriculum areas, English, mathematics, science, history, geography, computing, art, design technology, music and PE are key subjects taught at the primary and secondary levels with both Mandarin and Thai languages also learnt.  Throughout the curriculum we embrace the application of, and effective use of, modern technology; we have a bring-your-own-device policy in place to allow our students to work with the electronic devices they are most comfortable with.
