60 Covid deaths, 10,035 new cases Monday

Thailand logged 60 new Covid-19 fatalities and 10,035 new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Monday morning.

There were 9,955 cases in the general population and 80 among prison inmates.

On Sunday, 10,590 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.

Since April 1, when the third wave of Covid-19 began, Thailand has treated 1,692,056 Covid-19 patients, 1,565,477 of whom have recovered to date.

Since the pandemic started early last year, there have been 1,720,919 Covid-19 cases, with 1,592,9023 complete recoveries so far.

The death toll stood at 17,657 during the third wave and 17,751 since the beginning of the pandemic.
