Jazz concert recalls 'Sweet Memories'
Oneday Jazz Trio from Mahidol University will be paying tribute to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej with "The Sweet Memories Concert" at Neilson Hays Library, Surawong Road, on Sunday Aug 18 at 6pm.
The evening programme will feature his royal compositions such as Still On My Mind, HM Blues, Magic Beams, Love At Sundown, Echo, Near Dawn, and Oh I Say.
Also included on the repertoire will be a number of jazz standards -- Autumn Leaves, Lullaby Of Birdland, Misty, All Of Me and Take The A Train; as well as popular songs including Sunday Morning by Maroon 5, Fly Me To The Moon and The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra, Summertime by Ella Fitzgerald and L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole.
Oneday Jazz Trio comprises Thanapol Srirat (vocal), Siwat Maikang (electric guitar) and Sornram Karmbut (saxophone). They graduated with a bachelor of music in popular music from Mahidol University's College of Music. They have skills in a variety of music and have performed at many venues and competitions.
