Tiffany Young's return to Bangkok was met with great enthusiasm. On Twitter, the hashtag #WelcomeBackOurFlowerMiyoung was trending, while Thai fans flocked to the airport in their droves to greet their idol as she touched down on Thai soil. In return, the American singer gave her all during her "Open Hearts Eve" concert, which took place on Saturday at Thunder Dome, Muang Thong Thani.

Young has had a massive fan base in Thailand ever since her Girls' Generation days, so tickets for the show were hot property. Her fans, who have been waiting for the singer's return ever since last year's fan meeting, were so excited to see her again that the venue was packed by noon -- some five hours before showtime.

Ahead of the show, the lights of the Thunder Dome were completely turned off, leaving only the light from the fluorescent sticks illuminating the venue in beautiful pink waves.

The evening's festivities kicked off with a performance by four of Young's backup dancers, performing with four moons. When they combined the moons, Young appeared on stage, and was greeted with deafening cheers from the audience. Dressed in a striking silver outfit, she launched into her 2018 single Over My Skin. She followed this up with Heartbreak Hotel. Evidently a fan favourite judging by the screams that greeted it.

The hits kept coming with Talk To Me, Yellow Light, Teach You, Like A Fool, Lips On Lips, Born Again and Remember Me. The set list included covers of artists who have inspired her, such as Lee Hyo-ri and Uhm Jung-hwa. She also did covers of Shawn Mendes' In My Blood and City Of Stars from the soundtrack to La La Land, along with her 2010 hit with Girls' Generation, Run Devil Run. The singer would occasionally pause between songs to talk with her fans, telling them how thankful she was to have their support on her new journey as a solo performer.

Young signed off with a rousing rendition of her latest single Magnetic Moon. Unexpectedly, she reappeared on stage, treating fans a wonderful surprise by singing the beloved Girls' Generation hits Into The New World and Sailing. Many fans were moved to tears, as was the star herself.

Thanks to her 10 years with Girls' Generation, Young knows how to interact with her audience and keep them entertained throughout the whole show. Fans responded in kind, showering her with love and support, singing their hearts out from beginning to end.

Young has great stage presence, and her dance moves were sharp and precise. Despite the sound being overly loud, her vocals really shone through, especially during slow songs. Her energy never dropped despite the fact that she only had three short breaks to change her outfit.

The show's two beautiful hours flew by. The memories that her Thai fans took away will last a lifetime.
