So kult opens its doors
SO/ Bangkok's new art gallery, So Kult, will open its doors to the public tomorrow at 7pm.
Located in the hotel's Street Lobby, the gallery aims to be a showcase for the imaginations of established and budding artists from around the globe. So Kult's opening exhibition is by French artist Michael Deloffre, who draws his inspiration from nature, crafting paintings and sculptures that encapsulate the raw beauty of flora and fauna.
A pioneer of the natural and contemporary aesthetic movement, the 61-year-old artist imbues his work with emotion and celebrates our connection with nature.
The bold colours, strong brushstrokes and fine lines in his paintings convey the strength and fragility of natural elements. His works seek to articulate the essence of the world around us.
Deloffre is an internationally renowned artist whose work has been prominently displayed at more than 160 exhibitions in 40 countries. Among the most prominent venues that have exhibited his art are the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum in Berlin, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Montreal, and the National Foundation for Contemporary Art in Paris.
On display at So Kult will be a selection that traces the beginning of Deloffre's artistic journey until the present day. This is an opportunity for the public to venture into a world of art that transcends the conventional boundaries of beauty.
