If you're a lover of art, fashion, music or all things pop culture, then you better invite yourself and join the opening of "POP ME UP" exhibition at JWD Art Space, Pathumwan, on Sept 12 where renowned artists from all over Thailand will join hands to share their characters and stories through pop sculpture and paintings. The exhibition will run until Oct 11.
Get yourself ready for the party as the exhibition brings together 10 artists from the project Character ME: Yuree Kensaku, Maythee Noijinda, Jitsing Somboon, Vasan Sitthiket, Lampu Kansanoh, Wutigorn Kongka, Sutee Kunavichayanont, P7, Youenmo Koo and Line Censor. They will join hands to make something fun in the exhibition "POP ME UP".
The exhibition will showcase many sources, meanings, ideas and characters transmitted through various dimensions such as sound art, painting, big sculpture or even talismans.
Another highlight of the event will be a live set by DJ Spydamonkee, co-founder of Gancore Club with Joey Boy, winner of 1997 Thailand DMC Champion, and producer and composer. Spydamonkee will spin some of his well-known beats along with a live painting by these artists.
