Bangkok International Artists Guild (Biag) is staging Too Loud A Solitude at KBank Siam Pic-Ganesha Theater, 7th floor of Siam Square One, Rama I Road, from tomorrow until Saturday at 8pm.

A collaboration with the Czech embassy, the new production is a loose adaptation of the 1976 short novel of the same title by the renowned Czech writer Bohumil Hrabal. The novel is a romantic and dramatic tale of a man who for 35 years has worked as a compactor of wastepaper and books in Prague. In the book, he falls in love with books and becomes an obsessive collector of knowledge even though his gypsy lover is set to be deported by the Nazi regime at the end of World War II.

Directed by Maurizio Mistretta and featuring live performances, composition and music arrangement by maestro Alberto Firrincieli, the play is an installation composed by the actor who plays Haňťa, a musician.

All elements will play narratively to facilitate the audience entering a world full of poetry, funny events and desperate attempts to feel alive.

Tickets at the door cost 700 baht (500 baht for students) and 500 baht for early birds (300 baht for students) if purchased online.
