More than a hundred contemporary artworks by 58 Thai artists are on display during "People To People", which is running at the Main Gallery, 9th floor of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, Pathumwan intersection, until July 18.

The exhibition is part of the "BACC Fundraising Project 2021" initiated earlier this year with the aim to engage audiences and participants to support the BACC to continue to serve as an art centre. The first activity under the project was "Art In Postcards", which offered free postcards created by 12 artists to everyone who donated money to the art centre.

Even though there's a positive sign from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration regarding the possible extension of a contract to allow the BACC Foundation to manage the art centre for another 10 years, financial support is needed for its operation and activities for this year.

Therefore, the "People To People" exhibition is being held to give art lovers an opportunity to witness and buy artwork by the artists who made their name in the local art scene through People's Gallery, an art project that provides free space within the art centre for young artists, professional artists and groups of artists to show their works.

Over the past nine years, People's Gallery has organised a total of 216 exhibitions featuring works by 166 individual artists and 50 artist groups.

Those interested in purchasing art pieces by their favourite artists can visit the e-catalogue via bit.ly/3iMSuZj. Reservations of the works can be made via facebook.com/baccpage.
