Our sense of self today is created through the past and our hopes for the future. We all grow up, learn and document memories of each period of our lives amid ever-changing emotions. We all evolve and grow. If we are to select one photograph to represent ourselves, what photo will we choose?

This question has brought about "Selfpression | The Representation Of 100 Photographers Identity", a group exhibition that has collected the definition of the word "self" through photographic works by more than 100 photographers. They interpret the notion of self in different styles through self-portraits, photos of loved objects, places of memory and intimate glimpses into their lives.

For years, they have experimented, honed their skills, and grown with the changing tides of life that shaped their perspectives. This makes the exhibition look more like a space for emotional self-exploration recounted through photographic works, leaving viewers to wonder about themselves and raise a question of what their "true self" really is.

The exhibition is running at Hop Photo Gallery & Whoop, 3rd floor of Seacon Square, Srinakarin Road, until July 25. The gallery is open 10.30am to 9.30pm on weekdays and 10am to 9.30pm on weekends.
