Three Phuket artists of international fame have joined hands to showcase their work during the "Central Phuket Art Exhibition", which is running at Atrium A, 1st floor of Floresta, Central Phuket, until July 31.

Held to unite local artistic genius and promote tourism in the province, the exhibition presents the local essence of Phuket's heritage as reflected through the eyes of pop surrealism artist Kanjana Khumcruth, painter Rittipong Nupun, and photographer Ponsiri Jinapirom. Kanjana portrays imaginary girls on oil-on-canvas paintings that are reminiscent of her happiness in childhood. Looking indifferent though, her signature doll-like figures have big eyes that reveal their emotions if viewers look deeper and long enough.

Rittipong, meanwhile, uses women as the subject matter in his watercolour paintings. He believes that women are the real creators of nature on this planet. With his unique style, his works reflect his current emotion at the time of painting. However, lying hidden behind every of his painting is hope.

Displayed alongside the paintings are photographs of the beautiful nature of Phuket captured through the lens by Ponsiri who is keen on lifestyle, fashion, and portrait photography. She takes her camera with her everywhere to record the feelings and memories and the result is a collection of scenic images that look both classic and charming.
