This Saturday, music lovers will get to experience music's power to uplift spirits as Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Alfonso Scarano will present a programme of orchestral music that is guaranteed to captivate the senses.
For the health and safety of the audience, "Bolero" will be livestreamed starting at 4pm on YouTube.
The evening programme will open with the world premiere of Chevaliers by Viskamol Chaiwanichsiri, an award-winning Thai composer who has written orchestra, chamber ensemble, wind ensemble and solo instruments and whose music has been performed in Asia, America and Europe

It will be followed by a performance of Elpis Marimba Concerto by Japanese composer Kazunori. Joining the orchestra for the piece, which presents a message of hope in the face of tragedy, will be Wannapha Yannavut, one of the most recognised percussionists in Thailand. The highlight will be Bolero, the most daring yet perhaps also the most popular piece written by French composer Maurice Ravel. It starts softly but continually grows louder and more animated as it goes, eventually peaking in a stirringly dramatic burst of energy.
The exhilaration of Bolero also forms a striking contrast with Antonin Dvorak's Othello Overture, which is a gripping take on William Shakespeare's famed tragedy.
