Iconsiam hosts digital art extravaganza

Leading Thai artists recognised for their disciplines, techniques and signature styles are showcasing their art creations during "Thailand Digital Arts Festival 2022", which is running at the Charoen Nakhon Hall on M floor and Icon Art and Culture Space on the 8th floor of Iconsiam, Charoen Nakhon Road, until Sunday.

Over 2,000m² of space at the shopping mall has been transformed into a spectacular art gallery that connects the parallel universes of online and offline art, allowing art enthusiasts to admire the work of their favourite artists through both physical and digital formats.

They can connect with the creative processes and techniques of over 140 artists who have submitted a total of over 1,400 pieces of art creations that are also available for purchase in the form of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), making this event the biggest digital art exhibition with the greatest number of top-ranking Thai artists.

Various groups of artists are participating, including national artists Thawan Duchanee, Pratuang Emcharoen, Prof Emeritus Prayad Pongdam, Prof Emeritus Preecha Thaothong, Tawee Ratchaneekorn, Inson Wongsam, Chuang Moolpinit, Prof Vichoke Mukdamanee and Kamol Tassanachalee.

The line-up also includes renowned and up-and-coming artists such as Prof Thavorn Ko-Udomvit, Thongchai Srisukprasert, Sakwut Wisesmanee, Jitsing Somboon, Chalit Nakpawan, Prasong Luemuang and Chatchawan Rodklongton.

Also expect to see artworks by celebrities and influencers including Jirayu Tantrakul, Arigantha "Gypso" Mahapreukpong, Pimdao "Mudmee" Panichsamai, Thanachai "Pod" Ujjin, Methi Noichinda, and Kittipong "Go-M" Khamsat.

The digital art extravaganza is aimed to push the country to become the first digital art hub in Asia and promote Thai artists on the global stage.

It is a collaboration with Baandam Museum that helps select artists and compile their artworks for the show, Coral Platform by Kasikorn X that provides an exclusive NFT marketplace at the event, as well as Plan B Media that takes of the role of promoting Thai NFT artworks to every corner of the country.
