The Embassy of Italy presents a guitar recital by Italian guitarist Carlo Fierens at Sala Sudasiri Sobha on Sunday at 4pm.

In a relaxing ambience of Sunday afternoon, the show will bring a mesmerising repertoire of classical guitar in the unique concert hall where the performer and audience become one through music.

He will render a variety of sounds from profound and lyrical melodies to daring virtuosic music through scores of Spanish, Italian and American elements.

Representing the pride of Italy as a guitarist, Fierens is known for his lyrical sensitivity. His performances have been well praised by music critics both in Italy and abroad.

He is a founding member of the new Quartetto Paganini, which focuses on the rediscovery of the repertoire for guitar and string trio, specialising in works by Niccolò Paganini, one of Italy's most celebrated violin virtuosos.

Currently, he is a full-time professor at the Potenza Conservatory in Italy. He plays Mario Garrone guitars and uses Aquila strings and Concerto Carbon Cases.
