Sakul is known for conveying spiritual ideas through plant and floral installations which possess a distinctive line, texture and sculptural quality.

His accolades include royal commissions from HM Queen Sirikit from 2000 to 2010 at numerous royal events locally and abroad as well as state banquets in the Grand Palace.

For this show, he pivots his artistic expressions to contemporary art in various disciplines including sculptures, paintings, art installations, poems and performances that reflect his artistic and spiritual journey over the past three decades.

Viewers are invited to investigate the connectivity of individuals that make up the fabric of society with the analogy of flowers forming an intricate floral net (or takhai dokmai) in a traditional Thai floral design.

The idea is rendered in the form of large-scale hanging wood sculptures, free-standing metal sculptures, paintings and immersive installations juxtaposing materials used in Thai floral art with digital media.

As a seasoned writer, Sakul also presents a series of poems from his portfolio of writings through the form of sound installation within the art space.

La Lanta Fine Art is on the 3rd floor of N22 Art Warehouse, Narathiwat Ratchanakharin 22, and opens Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 7pm.
