Very Summer Fest boasts 11 up-and-coming artists

The indoor music fest takes place on July 29 at Bitec

ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT

Concert organiser The Very Company has confirmed July 29 as the date for its upcoming Very Summer Fest 2023 at Bitec's Bhiraj Hall.

The line-up includes 11 up-and-coming artists, who will perform on two stages. Several of them will make their Thailand debut at the festival. There won't be performances on the two stages simultaneously so fans will get to appreciate each headliner completely.

Expect a diverse range of musical offerings. American singer and actress Sabrina Carpenter is best known for viral hits such as Nonsense and On My Way. Expect feel-good songs from American pop artist Jake Scott, who will serenade the audience with Like No One Does and Favorite T-shirt. Australian R&B singer-songwriter RINI will debut in Thailand, and fans waiting to hear My Favourite Clothes and Meet Me In Amsterdam shouldn't miss the festival. London-born smooth crooner Dhruv, who's best known for Double Take, has garnered billions of streams on various platforms

DPR IAN or Christian Yu, a former member of the K-pop group C-Clown, released his first solo album Moodswings In This Order and performed at Coachella 2023. Kim Daniel, who's also the lead vocalist of Wave To Earth, will front the South Korean indy rock band The Poles. Xooos, whose real name is Kim Su Yeon, broke into the scene with her viral covers before being signed to the record label Wavy and releasing her own original hits such as Naked and Bad At Us.  Another South Korean act is singer-songwriter Milena, who's best known for her sweet and mellow sounds that are captured in her two EPs Sweet and Riddle. Do check out her latest English single Dancing On The Table.

Irish band The Academic, whose second album Sitting Pretty topped the Irish Albums Chart upon release, will perform hits from their debut album, as well as their recent hits. Denise Julia is an R&B star from the Philippines who got first noticed for her upbeat single NVMD but her latest single Butterflies may turn you into her stan with slow jam sultriness. Last but by no means least is Thai Italian singer Silvy, who's known for her energetic performance and anthems with self-empowering messages.
