Catch Canadian indie band Peach Pit at Voice Space

ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT

Canadian indie pop band Peach Pit return to Bangkok for "#HYHBKK Live! With Peach Pit" on July 24 at Voice Space.

The quintet continues to charm fans since the release of their debut EP Sweet F.A., almost a decade ago. The album garnered critical acclaim, drawing comparisons to contemporaries like Tom Misch, Homeshake and Mac DeMarco.

Peach Pit has promised to bring their extensive music catalogue featuring their biggest hits and tracks from their new album From 2 To 3 for this much-anticipated show.

The band consists of high school friends Neil Smith (vocals, guitar), Chris Vanderkooy (guitar), Peter Wilton (bass) and Mikey Pascuzzi (drums). Recognised for their laid-back energy, their music is marked by groovy rhythms, playful guitar riffs, and engaging melodies that evoke feelings of joy and contentment. The group melds teenage angst with summer vibes, telling stories of backstabbing best friends and dying-at-the-end-of-summer romances. The band gained initial recognition in 2016 with their self-titled debut EP Being So Normal.

Peach Pit first visited Thailand in 2018 and won fans over with their lush bubblegum pop. Tracks like Tommy's Party and Alrighty Aphrodite have exceeded 160 million streams.

In 2020, they released their second album You And Your Friends on Columbia Records, with DIY calling it "12 excellent indie pop songs that everyone loves". Their most recent album, From 2 To 3, features catchy hits like Give Up Baby Go and Look Out!.

Tickets cost 2,100 baht and are available at hyhbkk.live/peachpit (limited to four tickets per purchase).
