Chang Chui Creative Park will become the hippest destination during “Fly 2 South Now Festival”, which will kick off tomorrow and run daily from 4-9pm until Sunday.
Held to bring the essence of the South to Bangkok by Flynowiii, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, the festival will showcase the vibrant way of life, arts and culture through seven activity zones covering a market, workshops, performances, music, art, talk and exhibition.
On top of the glam will be “Blimey Batik”, a fashion show featuring Flynowiii’s special collection of over 40 stylish batik costumes created by notable Thai designers who merge batik fabric with modern design, tomorrow at 7.15pm.
They will be presented on the catwalk against the backdrop of Chang Chui’s iconic airplane by famous models and southern celebrities including Dulyawat Kaewsriyong from the national swimming team at the Paris 2024 Olympics; and Surisa Susanna, the first runner-up of Miss Universe Thailand 2024.
Visitors are invited to learn the stories behind Flynowiii’s batik collection at the “Bilmey Batik Exhibition”, witness unique southern cultural performances at the “Bilmey Southern Performance” zone, and enjoy southern songs newly arranged in a distinctive style by modern independent musicians at the “Bilmey Music” zone.
Also, witness the artistic achievements of southern artists at the “Bilmey Art” zone where history experts and contemporary fashion designers will discuss the traditional southern fabric. Then, have fun with a craft workshop and indulge in local delicacies.
Chang Chui Creative Park is on Sirindhorn Road in Bangkok.
