The Samui Summer Jazz Festival will make a comeback with a troop of world-class jazz artists to perform under the stars at three leading venues from Friday to Sunday.
Titled "Late Summer Groove", this year's annual festival is presented by Skal International Koh Samui in collaboration with the Tourism Association of Thailand.
The 2024 edition will bring international jazz artists from Europe and the Americas, and crème de la crème of Thailand's local jazz talent to render a superb programme of jazz and world music at Six Senses Samui, Sala Samui Chaweng Beach and Kimpton Kitalay Samui.
Each venue promises a sublime seafront setting for a stunning night of gourmet dining, socialising and music to inspire the senses of all tastes in jazz.
Once again, expect to see internationally renowned Dutch tenor sax supremo Alexander Beets who will be joined by a fantastic group of musicians and vocalists. They will perform a wide range of jazz music from Brazilian bossa nova, blues and soul, to swinging big band classics.
The opening night on Friday will present "Brazilian Vibes" by vocalist Fleurine at Six Senses Samui from 7.30pm. The second night on Saturday will focus on "Jazz Under The Stars" featuring blues and soul by Baer Traa and Koh Mr Saxman at Sala Samui Chaweng Beach, also from 7.30pm.
The grand finale on Sunday will feature "Swinging Jazz Classics" performed by Chukiat Srisakul, Jihee, Charlie Philips, Fabio Lannino and Miguel Rodrigues, at Kimpton Kitalay Samui from 1pm.
