Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee return in the much-awaited South Korean series Gyeongseong Creature Season 2, which is now streaming on Netflix.

Premiering last week, the series, which captured the heartbreaking romance between two people standing against tragedy borne from monstrous human desire in 1945 Gyeongseong, takes viewers to modern Seoul. This season uncovers the never-ending ties of fate -- both good and bad -- that weave through time. Ho-jae, a man deceptively similar to Tae-sang, and Chae-ok, a survivor of the Gyeongseong spring, navigate these complex relationships in the modern era.

The trailer hints that the nightmares of the past have manifested again in modern-day Seoul, as bizarre serial killings occur throughout the city. Chae-ok runs into Ho-jae and immediately recognises him as Tae-sang, leaving her perplexed. Meanwhile, the Kuroko leader continues with questionable experiments at Jeonseung Biotech. Also, Seung-jo recognises Chae-ok as one of his kind and relentlessly pursues her and Ho-jae with the Kurokos.

The main poster features the characters against the backdrop of Seoul with the text: "The weight of karma. A fight to end it all." With an intense, time-bending battle brewing, the series raises the question, how will entwined relationships, fates and karma from Gyeongseong come to a head in Seoul?

Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 is written by Kang Eun-kyung and directed by Chung Dong-yoon and Jo Yeong-min.
