It has been five years since Day6, a South Korean pop rock band, last performed in Bangkok. Thus, when Live Nation Tero announced "Day6 3rd World Tour In Bangkok" on Nov 30 at UOB Live, Emsphere, the response from their fan club, My Day, was overwhelming. All tickets sold out quickly on Sept 27.
As a result, Live Nation Tero decided to add another show on Dec 1. Tickets cost 2,800, 3,500, 3,800, 4,900 and 5,900 baht and are available at thaiticketmajor.com.
Day6 members -- Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil and Dowoon -- had to put their music careers on hold for a couple of years to complete military service. In March, Day6 returned with their latest EP Fourever. The album received positive feedback locally and internationally. The song Happy ranked No.1 on many local music charts including Melon, Genie and Bugs. Additionally, every track on Fourever has managed to chart on the Melon 100. Fourever was also picked by Billboard's staff as the ninth (out of 20) best K-pop album of 2024 so far.
Day6 debuted in 2015 under JYP Entertainment with their EP The Day which peaked at No.2 on Billboard's World Album Chart just a week after its release. The members of Day6 are involved in composing and writing lyrics and their music spans a wide spectrum and is not confined to any single genre. Their sound seamlessly blends elements of pop, rock, hip-hop and more, all while maintaining the unique identity that sets Day6 apart.
