Each of the workshop participants will get to make a piece of ceramic.

As part of the Bangkok Design Week 2019, Lamunlamai -- a ceramic-making studio renowned for its vibrant and adorable paintings and patterns -- is holding the Lamunlamai Pottery Painting Workshop at the Thailand Creative and Design Centre (TCDC), the Grand Postal Building on Charoen Krung Road from Jan 31 until Feb 3.

Each of the workshop participants will get to make a piece of ceramic.

Fans of craftsmanship and pottery making must not miss the event as participants will be introduced to the basic of ceramic art, starting from the foundation and beginning process of ceramic products and how to create ceramic containers and utensils. The workshop also features demonstration sessions, lectures and then participants will get to make their own.

Apart from the basics of ceramic pottery making, participants will also learn about ceramic patterns and paintings as well as coating techniques that could help make the products shine.

Tool and equipment fee is 650 baht per person or 1,200 baht for two persons (inclusive of painting colours, coating and high-temperature firing). Each participant gets to choose one piece of ceramic works they are to make during the workshop. Choices are a 5- or 8-inch plate, a 5- or 9-inch bowl, a small- or large-sized coffee set and a mug. If they want to create more, it costs 400 baht apiece.

All end products will be fired after the workshop to make them strong and durable, then they will be delivered to participants by Kerry Express.

Also Lamunlamai will also organise a ceramic-making workshop at Art Ground 04, an art and creative event which is to take place from Feb 1-3 at The Jam Factory on Charoen Nakhon Road.

On Feb 2, 2pm to 4pm, there will be a hand-building pottery workshop which is held in partnership with Aēsop. Registration fee is 1,600 baht for two persons (limited to 20 persons).

Then on Feb 3, 3-4pm, another session on hand-painted pottery will be organised where participants will learn about ceramic painting and patterns. Registration fee is 1,600 baht for two persons (limited to 20 persons).

Again all the ceramic works created at this workshop will be coated and fired before delivering to participants. They are microwavable and can be used with both hot and cold foods.
