Fans of popular Japanese manga and animation One Piece can meet celebrated characters at the One Piece 20th Anniversary in Thailand at Parc Paragon, Siam Paragon, from now until Aug 20.
One Piece is penned by Oda Eiichiro and has been published by Shueisha Publishings for over two decades. The captivating story tells the adventures of young pirate Monkey D. Luffy who journeys with his crew the Straw Hat Pirates on a ship called Thousand Sunny to search for a famed treasure known as One Piece.
In Thailand, One Piece is a favourite for people of all ages. The animation series has been running on Thai PBS, Channel 3 and MCOT since 2002.
Presented by Dex (Dream Express), Thai fans will have Meet and Greet with One Piece characters such as Luffy, a giant 7m inflatable rubber Chopper and others who flew from Japan. At the event, manga enthusiasts can enjoy seeing rare One Piece figures, hanging out at One Piece Café, get body paint and take snaps at photo corners. People who are into games will have fun at a One Piece Stampede movie booth. The winners will receive copyrighted merchandise.
There will be special previews of One Piece Stampede from Sept 2-8 before a nationwide screening from Sept 19 onward. Organised by DEX and Five Stars Agency, the special previews will be screened in some selected cinemas in Bangkok, Chon Buri, Khon Kaen and Hat Yai. During the celebration of "One Piece 20th Anniversary In Thailand", streaming channels such as Line TV, AIS Play and Flixer Applications will air 12 other One Piece movies.
