The Gulf of Thailand has become a strategic yachting hub along with the growth of marine leisure tourism in this region. The Ocean Marina Yacht Club has been instrumental in promoting the yachting lifestyle by hosting the "Ocean Marina Pattaya Boat Show" since 2012.

The eighth edition of the marine and lifestyle show opens on Thursday and runs until Sunday.

More than 30 global brands and local boatbuilders are participating in this edition, which presents a full spectrum of vessels, such as dinghies, tenders and superyachts, as well as latest in-water technological developments.

Free yacht cruises and bookable evening sunset cruises depart from the marina, which is the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia. Purpose-built SV14 dinghies also allow people with disabilities to experience breezy seafaring.

Onshore, the demonstration zone is a hive of activities featuring the latest marine toys, water sports equipment, seaflyers and other products. Diverse exhibitors further include those specialising in furniture and decor items for the boat and home, as well as luxury property developers and international schools.

First-timers at the boat show, Siam Seaplane provides fast and easy access to luxury resorts, beaches and marinas around the region while Solaire Heliluck Aviation also offers aerial services. Visitors can join air excursions along the coastline taking off and landing from the marina.

Until Sunday, the eighth "Ocean Marina Pattaya Boat Show" is open daily from 11am until 7pm, apart from the last day's closing time at 6pm, at Ocean Marina Yacht Club, on Jomtien Beach, Pattaya. For more information, visit oceanmarinapattayaboatshow.com.
