Thailand's most impressive annual flower festival has returned to Bangkok's Suan Luang Rama IX Park and will run until Dec 10.

The 32nd flower show, organised by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the Suan Luang Rama IX Foundation, is open to all and offers great photo opportunities.

More than 800,000 kinds of plants are on display in the 500-rai park in the capital's Prawet district, offering visitors a chance to enjoy beautiful flowers in the cool of the evening.

The park also has plenty of space for cycling or jogging, and there's also a sports centre with a swimming pool and tennis court. Some of the blooms on display include marigold, spider flower, impatiens, Madagascar periwinkle, cosmos, petunia, daisy and salvias.

Apart from checking out the horticultural delights, visitors can also spend time at the dinosaur exhibition, showcasing the fossil remains of Phuwiangosaurus sirindhornae, Siamotyrannus isanensis and Kinnareemimus khonkaenensis that were discovered in the country.

Visitors can also check out projects initiated by the late King Rama IX in an exhibition titled "Succession, Conservation, Development for Thais' Wellbeing".
