Archaeological aesthetics

Finding the perfect space to present the spring-summer 2020 collections, Dior Thailand went as far as Taling Chan, to Aube, on Ratchapruek Road.

Normally a wedding venue, Aube became a gallery for displaying women's ready-to-wear pieces by artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri, who drew inspiration from archival photographs of Christian Dior's sister, Catherine, surrounded by flowers in her garden.

The men's summer 2020 collection is a collaboration between Kim Jones and multidisciplinary American artist Daniel Arsham, whose aesthetics revolve around fictional archaeology. Together, they examined the maison's archives and reinterpreted hallmarks for pieces in the new collection.
