For his first skincare product, Marc Jacobs wanted moisturisation of an earth-shaking magnitude -- with a hint of yellow.
And when it was introduced last summer, Marc Jacobs Beauty's Youthquake Hydra-Full Retexturizing Gel Crème certainly shook up Sephora's shelves. Following on from the success of the launch, the gel crème moisturiser is now available in a jumbo jar.
Its formulation firstly deals with dead skin cells through exfoliating enzymes from pineapple water. Removing the rough texture reveals a fresh surface, priming the skin to receive hydration from encapsulated sodium hyaluronate.
The US designer seems to have a penchant for tropical fruits. In addition to pineapple, starfruit and dragonfruit also feature, rendering antioxidant-rich extracts in the multitasking moisturiser.
A warm citrus scent and full-bodied gel crème texture further provides sensorial pleasure in applying the yellowish Youthquake, suitable for normal to dry skin.
Youthquake formulated with 54% enzymatic pineapple water.
