The one thing I am most at a loss for is: What to eat for lunch. This despite, the Bangkok Post having a canteen. But after a while monotony sets in and we all look for change, even when it comes to food.

Here to take the lunch blues away is Sood Kua Delivery. The new service by Supanniga Group, which offers dishes by grandma Khun Yai Somsri Chantra. Oh, to be a fly in her kitchen!

The four selections that are available are crab roe, minced shrimp, minced pork and a combination of all. All combos come with steamed jasmine rice or fried rice, and a fried or boiled duck egg. Being the glutton that I am, I tried three combos. The Crab roe on rice (B185) with fried duck egg will do justice to a good IG yolk porn photo. The abundant crab roe is stir-fried with Khun Yai Somsri's special signature Trat-style salt and chilli mix with garlic.

When ordering each dish, you can choose between three spice levels: Signature spicy, mild spicy and very mild spicy. I am a spice girl, the spicier the food, the more chance of me loving it. I ordered the default spice level, which is the signature. This was so, so good, that I didn't need the spicy seafood sauce that comes with it. Of course, despite my high tolerance for spice, this blew my head off, but in a nice way. Which means that despite each bite being fiery, I couldn't wait to spoon more into my mouth.

The Crab roe and shrimp with the chilli, salt and garlic (B185) comes with a boiled duck egg and seafood sauce. The egg is included in the cost so you can choose to order it or not. For all the dishes, the signature spice level is the way to do go. The final combo I tried was the Crab roe, prawn, pork with chilli, salt and garlic fried rice (B145). This came with a boiled duck egg and wasn't as spicy as the others but still delightfully satisfying.

This is an extremely satisfying meal of lunch or dinner, and best of all, Sood Kua offers a special discount for customers who opt to reduce waste by requesting not to receive disposable utensils and paper napkins.

I am salivating as I type this article. No prizes for guessing what I am ordering for lunch today!
