Here's good news for those who might have never had time in the kitchen before to learn how to cook their favourite dishes with a professional right at home.

Chitralada Technology Institute (CDTI) presents a series of free online cooking courses designed especially for those looking for another source of income. Experienced instructors will take turns demonstrating how to cook 20 different dishes every Tuesday and Thursday from 1-4pm, until May 7. The sessions will be presented live on facebook.com/AcademicServiceCentreCDTI.

Each afternoon will feature two or three savoury dishes with today's menu including gaeng liang (spicy mixed vegetable soup) and tom klong pladuk yang (sour and spicy smoked grilled catfish soup).

The next session, on April 14, will show how to cook three dishes -- kuay tiew rad na (Chinese noodle in gravy), pad see ew (stir-fried flat noodle) and kanom jeeb (Chinese steamed dumpling).

Other popular recipes, such as gaeng kiew wan luk chin pla krai (green curry with fish balls) and pad Thai (stir-fried rice noodle), are also featured on April 21 and 23, respectively.

There are also classes on two popular Thai desserts -- bualoy pueak (taro dumplings in sweet coconut cream) and tub tim grob (water chestnuts in coconut milk), both on April 16, and herbal drinks on April 30.
