Hotels adapt to the times
With everyone adapting to the new norm, hotels have had to reimagine the services they provide. Thinking well outside the box has become an important prerequisite, not just to generate revenue, but also to comfort and soothe the safety-conscious, yet still discerning guests. Guru lists a few examples of the innovative measures.
Book now stay later
Several hotels and resorts have released advance booking vouchers that are applicable for future stays, with a few being valid for up to a year. Guests pay upfront for their desired room type, receives a voucher and have until the expiry date to reserve dates of stay. Plus: Such vouchers are sold at discounted prices.
⇑ At Prachuap Khiri Khan's pet-friendly X2 Kui Buri Resort, vouchers are available for stays in the Deluxe Pool Villa for two people and a pet for B5,500 a night, the Ocean Front Pool Villa for two people and a pet for B9,500 a night, and the Luxury Pool Villa Suite for four persons and a pet for B13,000 a night -- all deals are inclusive of a breakfast buffet.

WFH: Work From Hotel
If WFH is getting to you and you need a change of environment, try the other WFH aka Work From Hotel. Many hotels are renting out their rooms during the day, complete with all the office equipment one would need. Guests get to choose from a wide price range provided by budget hotels, upscale properties and everything in between.

Rainforest Rising Campaign
⇑ Give back to nature at Anurak Community Lodge, which is set amid the lush greenery of Khao Sok National Park. The lodge's "Rainforest Rising Campaign" aka tree sapling planting project is in collaboration with the Forest Restoration and Research Unit of Chiang Mai University and the goal is to turn a vast area, that has been exploited in the past, green again.
