Jetts Fitness welcomes back customers under new regulations

The third phase of easing of Covid-19 restrictions began yesterday, which saw Jetts 24 Hour Fitness reopen its branches across Thailand. The fitness chain's Asia CEO, Mike Lamb, welcomed members back, emphasising the importance of exercise and keeping healthy.

"Regular exercise is essential for maintaining an individual's immune system and overall physical and mental health," Lamb said. "The fitness industry will have a vital role in ensuring the ongoing health and well-being of people across the world, including Thailand, during and following the Covid-19 pandemic."

During its temporary closure, Jetts 24 Hour Fitness had invited members to visit its website and social channels for health advice and tips for home workout sessions.

"The aim was to ensure that our members and followers remained fit and healthy during the lockdown. Our Facebook live classes showcasing different home workouts received an overwhelming response from our members as well as exercise enthusiasts," he said.

Jetts Fitness Thailand is a part of the Fitness & Lifestyle Group, a diversified health and wellness group based in Australia.

Currently, it operates 30 clubs, including three newly-opened locations at Donki Mall, SJ Infinite Complex and Index Rama 2 in Bangkok. Following the pandemic, its gyms and exercise facilities will operate in a way that ensures the health and safety of members and employees.

The re-opening framework includes a range of guidelines from limited operation hours, temperature checks on arrival, high-frequency of cleaning and sanitation, special spacing of equipment and reduced capacity for classes, as well as other protective measures for employees and members, who will also have to wear face masks and bring their own workout towels.

"These measures will ensure gym members and employees have peace of mind as they workout or take part in group classes," he said.

The gym's operating hours will be from 6am until 10pm instead of 24/7 access in order to comply with the government's curfew restriction.
