Even after the easing of Covid-19 restrictions, people should continue to make self-care a priority.

"We shouldn't just focus on a wellness routine when a pandemic comes along, as keeping healthy can help ward off other diseases. A wellness routine is a basic human requirement. It's so much more than dietary intake and exercising. It should wholly be your lifestyle," said Renee Grandi, a clinical naturopath and nutritionist at Chiva-Som International Health Resort, located in the seaside town of Hua Hin.

Earlier this year, the award-winning health resort launched its online wellness services for people staying at home to keep fit during the pandemic.

The ongoing programme will include sessions this month and next, conducted in English at 3pm on scheduled dates.

Sept 30: Neurodynamic Nerve Stretching is an exercise that combines the unique style and fluid movements of traditional Thai dancing in a series of postures and movements.

"This is a great class for individuals who are interested in a simple, enjoyable and innovative way of engaging in the ancient art of Thai dancing while gaining the benefits of enhanced flexibility, decreased pain and improved muscle tension," said Grandi.

Oct 1: The low-impact Pilates on Mat incorporates all the key principles of Pilates such as postural alignment, breathing, core stability, controlled movement and flexibility.

Oct 15: Grandi will provide the fundamentals in promoting a healthy cardiovascular system via an online webinar. She will cover how to naturally support blood pressure, cholesterol and vascular integrity through nutrition, herbal medicine and lifestyle interventions.
