The long-anticipated "SmartHeart Presents Thailand International Dog Show 2020" will kick off tomorrow and run until Sunday at Impact Exhibition Hall 9-10, Muang Thong Thani.

A collaboration with the Thai Pet Product Industries Association and the Kennel Association of Thailand, this will be the 19th edition of what is hailed as the country's most popular event for dog lovers. Pet owners are encouraged to bring their four-legged darlings to shop for quality products and services, which will be available with up to 70% discounts from more than 200 booths.

The four-day event is an opportunity to see over 2,000 dogs vying for prizes in many competitions held under the theme "Dogs Of Thailand". Highlights include the "Thailand Groomer Competition 2020" tomorrow from 1pm to 6pm; the "Ultimate Pitbull Weight Pulling Championship Of The Year 2020" on Saturday from 10am to 8pm; the "Pitbull And Bully UDC Championship Dog Show" on Sunday from 10am to 2.30pm; and a dog beauty contest and a Thai Bangkaew dog contest, both of which will take place on all four days.

Other fun activities open for walk-in visitors and their dogs every day include "Come To Your Mama Award", "Who Is The Fastest?", "Woof! & Jump!" and "Detective Doggie". The winners will take home medals or dog food. Expect to meet celebrities who will bring along their furry friends to greet their fans on the weekend. Some of them include Kae Chollada, Yo Yossawadee, Boom Yutthaphum and his Moota, Captain Quint, Tuk Mayura and Yong Armchair.

There will also be an all-in-one veterinary consulting service and complementary health check-ups for dogs. Those interested in adopting a homeless dog are also invited to submit an application at the event.

Admission fee is 20 baht (free for dogs) with part of the proceeds going to support stray and disabled dogs.
