Prada's ecosphere expands

Prada's sustainable fashion is embodied in the Re-Nylon collection, which debuted as bags in 2019. The Italian luxury brand aims to convert all virgin nylon into regenerated nylon by the end of next year.

A partnership between Prada and textile yarn producer Aquafil, Econyl is obtained through the recycling and purification process of plastic waste collected from oceans, fishing nets and textile fibre waste.

This year, the spectrum of the Re-Nylon collection has expanded to offer ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories for men and women.

Key pieces include overcoats for men, and full-skirted and cocktail dresses for women, while accessories include belt-bags, backpacks and hats in the sustainable regenerated material.
