Playing with the much-loved 1920s cartoon character, Swatch celebrates American pop culture with the Mickey Mouse X Keith Haring collection to bring fun to daily life.
Recognised for his revolutionary and provocative graffiti-esque pictograms, lines and symbols, iconic artist Haring from the 1980s era believed in creating truly public art. His design was used to great effect across the streets and subway stations in New York City as well as to raise funds for children's literacy projects and Aids awareness initiatives.

In his glory days, Haring had a dream of working with Disney, so he decided to take matters into his own hands by featuring Mickey Mouse in his work. To make art accessible to all, Swatch started its collaboration with Haring in 1986 to design the limited edition funky watches, which have become rare collectibles for Swatch fans, before opening his Pop Shop on Lafayette Street in downtown New York.
Following this successful mission, Swatch teamed up with other famous artists and designers like Kiki Picasso, Alfred Hofkunst and David LaChapelle x Amanda Lepore to expand its reach.

This year, Swatch has turned Mickey Mouse into wearable art by adding Haring's signature aesthetic, vibrant energy and colours into its latest collection of funky graphic timepieces. There are three options to choose from.
Haring's depiction of Mickey is not the typical Disney version, but they all feature the unmistakable twist upon closer inspection, such as the nose on the dial of Mickey Blanc Sur Noir model. At the same time, the pop of yellow cut-out hands and strap loop perfectly offset the minimalist monochrome design.

Brighter and modern, the Mouse Mariniere line makes a colour confident statement with a solid and striped red strap, taking inspiration from Mickey's iconic shorts. Haring's illustration of Disney's most famous character is etched on the glass watch case that sits atop a red and white striped dial for added depth and movement.
Haring's trademark mesmerising black and white curved lines showcase Mickey Mouse in all his glory on the Eclectic Mickey series, punctuated by the renowned Swatch primary colours.
