Nestled on Kamala beach, the first-class beach club Café Del Mar recently joined hands with Tourism Authority of Thailand and business partners to revitalise Phuket's tourism scene by hosting the Café Del Mar Phuket Charity Festival.

This three-day exclusive event was presided over by Thapanee Kiatphaibool, deputy governor for tourism products and business at the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Suwat Liptapanlop, former deputy prime minister and Predee Daochai, former finance minister.

Supaluck Umpujh, owner of Café Del Mar, stated that tourism has played a major role in Thailand's economic restoration and also has an effect on the value chain in other relevant businesses. This is Thailand's strong point. Known as the Pearl of the Andaman, the coastal town of Phuket has become one of the top 10 tourist destinations in Asia. But now, the island has been affected by the drastic decrease of tourists due to the Covid-19 pandemic. So the authorities and private sector have joined forces to bring Phuket's tourism industry back to life again.

Nestled on Kamala beach, this luxury beach club is designed to resemble a vintage cottage with a unique beach bar overlooking the astonishing views of the beach and the ocean. The indoor dining space comes complete with comfy sofas, while the outdoor zone is home to a cabana, beach benches and a large swimming pool, making it a popular tourist attraction in Phuket. Every day, guests can enjoy good music in various genres, ranging from Balearic beats, jazz, nu soul, house to techno.

The festival featured a romantic trip on a yacht to to watch the picturesque sunset over the horizon of the Andaman Sea, while the parties were designed in three themes -- Extravaganza Charity Night, Rendezvous Pools & Beach Party, and finally, Brunch del Mar Family and Kids Playground -- and packed with spectacular sights and sounds from world-renowned DJs to create glamorous holiday vibes.

The proceeds will go to building an emergency ward at Phuket's Chalong Hospital as well as the Phuket Has Been Good To Me organisation to provide children in Phuket with educational opportunities.
