Running enthusiasts are invited to join the "CW-X Kyoto Virtual Run 2021", which is accepting applications until Feb 21.
This is the first race in Thailand by CW-X, a leading sportswear brand under Wacoal Corp, which has been a main sponsor of the famous Kyoto Marathon that has attracted 16,000 runners around the world each year since 2017.
Hailed as the one of the 10 most-registered marathons in the world, the Kyoto Marathon has to go virtual this year due to the Covid-19 situation and it has a limited slot open to runners from overseas, including a Thai team sent by CW-X.
However, other Thai runners can have similar excitement in the "CW-X Kyoto Virtual Run 2021", which is running in parallel with the "Online Kyoto Marathon 2021".
The virtual race is open to only 1,000 runners in Thailand and they are free to manage their own timetables and choose their favourite venues to record their accumulative distances of 42.195km. The result must be submitted to vr.thai.run/kyotovirtual2021/submit by Feb 21.
The fee is 199 baht per person including a running shirt, plus a chance to win a surprise gift. All participants will also receive a 500 baht discount at selected branches of CW-X shops including at Stadium One, Seacon Srinakarin, CPN Khon Kaen, J-Park Sriracha, UD Town; as well as the Wacoal shop at Seacon Bangkae.
