More than 220 exquisite paintings and sculptures by 77 Thai artists are showcased during the "Two Decades Of Thai Artists" exhibition at the Queen's Gallery until Feb 14.

Presented by the Thai Artists Group, this is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to witness masterpieces by many veteran artists such as Phong Saengging, national artists Chalermchai Kositpipat and Panya Vijintanasarn, and Sompob Budtarad as well as artworks by young artists from the Bualuang Rising Star Artist Project. The group was founded in 1996 by four artists -- Sompob, Kitisak Nualluck, Prasart Chansupa and Rearngsak Boonyavanishkul after they finished the mural painting project (1986-1992) at Buddhapateep Temple in London.

The group has organised many art activities across the country over two decades, allowing its members to present their works that reflect our society, arts and culture, with the aim to encourage Thai people to appreciate the importance of contemporary Thai art.

This exhibition also gathers many outstanding pieces that won the Bualuang Paintings Contest since 1977 alongside new pieces by young artists who are determined to maintain and preserve Thai art.

The Queen's Gallery is on Ratchadamnoen Klang Avenue and opens Thursday to Tuesday from 10am to 7pm.
