Tiffany & Co's new Blue Book Collection highlights the diverse beauty of nature

SOCIAL & LIFESTYLE

The diverse beauty of nature is identified in Tiffany & Co's splendid selection of gemstones to create high jewellery under the brand's 2021 Blue Book Collection.

Nearly 600 pieces from this edition titled, "Colors Of Nature", were recently unveiled in Shanghai before the collection travels to other cities around the world.

The high jewellery is grouped under four themes: Earth, Land, Sea and Sky.

Highlights of the Earth pieces include a show-stopping necklace with seven types of gemstones, including a morganite, a rubellite and tanzanites; and platinum yellow gold earrings with rare emerald-cut unenhanced esteemed Colombian emeralds.

Land designs are as vibrant with colours recalling berries and pomegranates as well as green vegetation, rendered by various gemstones.

For example, an oval rubellite illuminates a platinum and diamond pendant whereas round esteemed Russian demantoid garnets lace along with diamonds on a versatile necklace.

Ocean hues and colours of aquatic life are splashed on creative designs. Shimmering with aquamarines and yellow beryls, an innovative necklace features alternating yellow gold frames, whose planes of rock crystal are centred by an oval diamond.

The turtle brooch boasts precision in the setting of custom-cut diamonds and the butterfly brooch displays a masterful juxtaposition of purple sapphires and diamonds set in a cracked-ice cut that the brand introduced in 2018.

Moreover, the gold hinge allows this versatile brooch to be worn in four wing positions that evoke the motion of flight.

The collection is enriched by eight rings presented in bespoke vessels handcrafted by silversmiths at the brand's hollowware workshop in Rhode Island.

Shaped like a lava rock, a sterling silver vessel with a sulfur black patina houses a yellow gold and platinum ring set with Earth's geological wonder, a rare oval cabochon black opal, whose mesmerising play on colour is accented by pavé diamonds.

The collection includes a series of rings with exceptional gemstones, housed in handcrafted bespoke vessels.
