Out of Africa
Disaya imaginatively goes on safari in South Africa's national park. The beautiful fauna and flora inspire its autumn 2021 collection titled Out Of Safari designed by creative director Disaya Sorakraikitikul.
The Thai fashion house highlights its signature prints and embroidery techniques in the array of ready-to-wear pieces.
The main print portrays a hand-drawn Savanna landscape while the zebra print is actually an arrangement of flowers. The palette is a mix of soft tones with white, blue and green as the main colours while pastel yellow and shades of pink add a lively touch.
The fabric and choice of material play an important role in creating the silhouette that is easy to wear and allows movement.
Key looks include floral print blouse or floral zebra print shirt paired with a panelled skirt, floral jacquard vest and matching Bermuda shorts or pants, and safari suit with floral embroidery on sleeves and pockets with bow ties.
Dresses range from a cotton lace wrap dress and a dress with bow ties on the sleeves and playful tassels on the hem.
