The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is holding the "Empowering Tech Tourism Week Virtual Event", which brings a range of travel and tourism innovations, until Sept 15.

This is a platform for tourism operators in Thailand to seek new innovations that suit their businesses and gain knowledge on travel technology through a series of virtual seminars designed for entrepreneurs of hotels, restaurants, massage and spa shops, and guided tours.

Some topics offer insights into how entrepreneurs in provinces with major tourist attractions such as Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen and Chon Buri should adapt themselves. The seminars are streamed live daily in the afternoon and can also be viewed at a later time.

Other highlights include a virtual mart where interesting innovations will be introduced by the creators and in which entrepreneurs can directly arrange for online business matching as well as virtual innovation booths presenting attractive innovations with full details.

There are also TAT clinics offering useful information to entrepreneurs. They can learn more about the Amazing Thailand Safety & Health Administration project and seek counselling from supporting organisations including Digital Economy Promotion Agency, National Innovation Agency, TEDFund, SMEDBank, Bangkok Bank and TVCA.

This event is part of the "Empowering Tech Tourism" development project which aims to encourage tourism operators to apply innovations to enhance their potential.
